Fishh is the 14-year old feline member of the Buffington family.

Fishh is like a wonderful little child to our family. We cannot imagine a more loving and sweeter little guy than him. He is the purr-fect addition to our household. We love him like our child. Betty and Cecil Buffington.

Broken hearts abound in the Buffington household.

On Sunday night, October 30, 2011 at 10.35 pm . . . Fishh Buffington, our wonderful feline family member passed away from cancer. For several months we had examined and went through all possibilties in an attempt to save or prolong his loving and beautiful life. He died in the arms of Betty Buffington with Cary and myself ( Cecil ) in the room with him. He now lies beside his brother, Babe, in the squirrel City pet cemetary. Fishh was born on August 12, 1998. He was 14 years old.

GOD bless you, Fishh. We will never forget you and will always love you. If there is indeed a "Special Heaven" for pets there is now a wonderful addition to that group across the Rainbow Bridge. Betty, Cary and Cecil Buffington.

The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge, there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place.
There is always food and water, and warm Spring weather. Those old and frail animals are young again. Those who have been maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other. But there is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on earth. So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up. The nose twitches, the ears are up, the eyes are staring, and this one suddenly runs from the group.
You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated. Author unknown

Cecil Buffington - Thanks to all for your wonderful comments . . . Marceline - I honestly believe that our Christian Faith enables us to believe that GOD has some kind of plan for his animal creatures just like his human creatures. As a true believer, I don't see that as being too far out of reality. Fishh was just like a child to us. We really loved that little guy and will grieve for quite a while over him. He will remain my primary face book profile picture for as long as I remain a face book participant and his name will still be the first five letters in my primary e mail address.

What does the bible say about animals/pets in Heaven?

The Bible is very clear that there will be animals in heaven:

Isiah 65:25 5 The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but dust will be the serpent's food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain," says the LORD.

I have no doubt that our loving heavenly Father can resurrect our pets and make them part of our happiness in heaven. However, the Bible does not give any references to this, as the Bible was written for the salvation of mankind. (After all, something written for animals wouldn't do a lot of good when the animals can't read!!)

Sin came on this earth through man, not through animals. The animals are but innocent by-standers. Rom 5:12: Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned.

Cecil Buffington - Thank you, Rocky! We miss him beyond belief. He was so loving and such fun to just be around. Fishh was a blessing, never a burden to us. Be Blessed!

Fishh Biography

Age - 14 years young

College Attended - Cat Tech; CD ( C.A.T Degree )

Major - Elephantology

Minor - Mousing; Birdology; Squirreling; butterflyery and Lizardry

Occupation - Director of Elephant Operations for Buffington Properties.

Primary Job Description; To prevent elephants from crossing the creek onto the Buffington property.

Last Performance Evaluation; Excellent. There has not been an elephant on the Buffington property in the last 12 years.

Favorite Sports: Tree climbing, running through the house and jumping up on the kitchen sink.

Favorite Song: The Lion Sleeps Tonight by the Tokens.

Favorite Professional Teams: The Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers.

Favorite Food: Squirrels, birds, lizards, bullfrogs and butterflies.

Favorite TV Show: Tweety and Sylvester on The Cartoon Channel.

Favorite Actor: Sylvester the Cat

Motto To Live By: Never do today what you can put off until you get a good nights sleep.

Best Advice From Fishh To Assure Longetivity: Get all the sleep you can get and lick yourself clean daily!

Oh well! Another day underway . . . What should I do to get my day started off right ?

Might as well clean up a bit . . . I have a reputation as the most handsome cat in the neighborhood. I have to maintain that image.

I could go down to the lake and visit my ducks . . . Donald and Daisey ~ I might catch a bullfrog or a lizard while I'm down there.

Mrs. B sure don't like for me to go over there. She has a fit when I catch either one of those things. Mr. B even put up a sign for me to stay away from there . . . Nah! Not worth the aggravation. Those things are too hard to catch anyway.
