Sales Manager Wilson Denney and Plant Manager Cecil Buffington played in the prestigeous Loefs Charity golf tournament at the University of Georgia Golf Course for many years.

The Gold Kist Chicken was a popular participant in many parades in Northeast Georgia.

Patsy Drake dressed as a vampire at a Holloween contest event. She won first prize with this out-fit. Amazing detail in the costume.

Gold Kist supervisor's, Pearl Kinney and her sister Joyce Bailey were injured by gun fire while working at the Gold Kist Trussville plant during a strike situation.

Gold Kist softball report. Gold Kist was an Athens softball power-house for many years during the 80's, winning three Athens City Industrial championships and placing second on two other occasions.

Terri Duncan takes a few seconds to ponder just what she needs to do next. Sometimes you just had to close your eyes and think about it. Terri was a personnel assistant in Fred Huskey's Personnel Department.

Wille Lee followed Cecil Buffington to Gold Kist from Country Pride in Gainesville in 1977. He served as Further Processing Manager for six years

Cecil Buffington enjoying some Famous Recipe chicken. The popular Kentucky chain purchased their poultry from the Gold Kist Mount Sterling Sales Unit.

Patsy Chandler was awarded the first Quality Performance Award at Gold Kist Athens in 1987. This was a plaque and $500.00 cash.
