High School Super-star: The Junior Year

HIGH SCHOOL SUPER-STAR: The Junior Year

~ A novel by Cecil Buffington

Coach Thomas Shaw was the head football coach and athletic director at William Edward Salem High School in Ridgeview, Maryland. The huge AAAA high school had a tradition of strong athletic teams.

A knock on his door one mid-August day changed high possibilities to high probabilities for state high school sports supremacy. Coach Shaw quickly discovered that transfer student Kyle Morgan was not a normal 16 year-old high school junior. Things were about to get exciting around the old school.

A beautiful basketball playing cheerleader enters the picture, an intriguing CIA mission moves to the front, a rock n’ roll recording contract becomes a reality for the high school super-star, and fabulous play-by-play sports action gives you the feeling you are watching Salem High School athletics from the stands. A climatic and shocking conclusion will bring tears of sorrow to your eyes followed immediately by shrieks of joy.

The Kyle Morgan story has just started.

High School Super-star: The Junior Year can finally be told.

Special dedications to the memory of my parents ~ Lucille and Hoyt Buffington, my Grandmother ~ Mrs. Emma Bennett, my sister ~  Dianne Buffington, Coach John Davis, Mrs. Mable Potter, Mrs. Stella Ash and my childhood best friend, Johnny Pruitt. These wonderful people will never be forgotten.

Buffington's book, "High School Super Star" was refreshing and entertaining. There was no bad language in the book and God and prayer were mentioned in appropriate passages. Buffington has an amazing ability for detail when it comes to play by play of football players. He obviously was a football player along the way. This book would be an inspiration to any and all teenagers due to the showmanship of good friends, family, faculty and students. The book was uplifting and gave a sense of utopia in a world where there is too much criticism. Write more Buffington !!!
