MUSING WITH CECIL BUFFINGTON . . .
Musing With Cecil Buffington
The 2019 year has come and gone. With the exception of a major health issue and some disappointments in my sports preference, it really wasn't that bad of a year. You always set your expectations high for a coming new year. I have some key happenings I'd like to see during the 2020 calendar year. How many of these things will happen in 2020? I guess we'll know by late December of 2020. For now, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all . . .
What I'd like to see in 2020 . . .
I would like to see the Bulldogs beat Baylor in the Sugar Bowl on January 1st.
I would like to see Georgia win the NCAA national football championship.
I would love to see the Jefferson Dragons win the State AAAA football title in 2020.
I would like to see Donald Trump re-elected as President of the United States.
I would like to see the house back under republican control and an expansion of seats in the senate.
On a personal note, I'd like to get back on the golf course after suffering a major heart attack and having open heart surgery in 2019.
I'd like to shoot 72 or par on the golf course during 2020.
I'd like to maintain my weight at 190 pounds all year.
I'd like to see some grass grow in those naked spots in my back yard.
I'd like to take down those tall pine trees around my house before they fall on the house or truck.
I'd like to get a puppy and a cat, but I know I'll have to get spousal approvel to make this happen.
I'd like to see a Captain Marvel ( Shazam ) movie that is an action movie and not a comedy.
I'd like to see a Marvel "Night Rider - The Western" movie on the big screen.
I'd like to see the total end of the Star War's movies. Enough is enough . . .
I'd like to see CNN, MSNBC and The View go off the air. Again, enough is enough!
I'd like to see FOX News get rid of Mike Wallace.
I'd like to see a Chic Filet come to Jefferson.
I'd like to see good health and happiness for all my family and friends during 2020.
I'd like to see facebook eliminate all the people that are profane or vulgar in their posts.
I'd like to see less advertising on facebook, TV and everywhere else.
I'd like to see religion ( prayer and teaching ) returned to the nations high school classrooms.
I'd like to close out the 2020 year with the absolute best year of my life.
If all of the above happens, it really could be the "best year of my life."
